Series E lenses employs the same optical glass and features the same rugged Nikon bayonet mount as regular Nikkor lenses; the only difference is that they have been pared down in size, weight and price as a starter lens. The Nikkor Series E 135mm f/2.8 provides an outstanding contrast and color fidelity due to Nikon Integrated Coating (NIC). The 135mm is a releatively small and lightweight telephoto that stops down a mere 5 feet at F/32 for additional depth-of-field control. The lens features a built-in telescopic lens hood and uses standard 52mm filters. It is advantageous for shooting candids, head-and-shoulder portraits, details in landscapes or architecture, travel photography, and sports. This is lens is compatible with either the TC-201 or TC-14A teleconverters.
