The Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 AF D Macro ED is a professional fast aperture telephoto Nikkor lens useful for a wide range of shooting situations portraits to nature photography and much in between. Continuing Nikon's tradition of excellence in lens design Nikkor lenses are designed with eyes on maintaining sharpness, color, contrast & pleasing bokeh while minimizing aberration, flare, and distortion. The 80-200mm f/2.8 AF D Macro ED exemplifies that optical heritage housing 16 elements in 11 groups in a robust metal body. Three ED (Extra Low Dispersion) glass elements are distributed to maximize image quality. Focus is achieved by an internal focus mechanism that uses the camera's focus motor. Electronic contacts convey aperture and focus distance and defocus information to compatible camera metering, flash, and focus systems. While the lens is contemporary to the autofocus & digital era the mechanical aperture control allows the option of use on a wide range of historic Nikon camera bodies.

Zoom Lenses Zoom-Nikkor lenses offer excellent image quality and convenience. You can change focal lengths quickly, cropping subjects in the viewfinder, without ever having to change lenses or your shooting position. The world's fastest telephoto zoom lens, ideal for indoor sports photography and photojournalism in dim light. Incorporates Autofocus and Internal Focusing technology.
