Description

The Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8 D ED Aspherical IF AF-S Autofocus Lens is a professional grade wide angle zoom for Nikon Full Frame cameras. A mechanical aperture control ring is provided for compatibility with earlier Nikon film bodies when desired. The lens covers a very useful range of focal lengths from ultra wide angle at 17mm to the end of the wide angle range at 35mm all with out the need to switch lenses.

The Optical design includes two ED (Extra low Dispersion) elements and three aspherical elements to deliver the best possible performance. A constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 allows for a good amount of background blur and maximizes flexibility in challenging lighting.

Mechanicals are housed in a metal chassis. Autofocusing is quick and quiet thanks to an Internal Focus (IF) design paired with a Nikon AF-S Silent Wave Motor (SWM) that includes full time manual focus override. Two different grip patterns aid differentiation between the zoom and focus rings.

Designed for the demands of pros it's a great ultra wide zoom for a variety of situations.
