The Nikon 24mm F/3.5 D PC-E ED is a wide angle perspective control & tilt-shift manual focus lens that covers Nikon FX sensors. Maximum position control and plane of focus control makes this lens ideal for landscape, architectural, and even product photography. It features a tilt capability of up to +/- 8.5 degrees as well shift of up to +/- 11.5mm with rotation of +/- 90 degrees; camera prism or grip dimension may limit range of motion.
The lens features three ED Extra Low Dispersion elements and three aspehrical element on of which features Nikon revolutionary Nano Crystal Coat. It features a metal body for increased durability.
Note: there is no mechanical linkage between the aperture and camera, the electronic aperture control requires a Nikon D3 or latter body for full compatibility. Limited compatibility also exists for Nikon bodies designed to send power to AF-S motors, all other bodies are unable to power the electronic aperture motor and therefore unusable.
Nikkor PC-E 24mm f/3.5D ED is a retro-focus type perspective control lens that allows you to emphasize or correct near and far perspective, or control depth of field. Distortion caused by the camera angle are also corrected with this lens. When coupled with Nikon D3 or D300 cameras, all exposure modes are available without operating the aperture stop-down button. The lens employs thirteen elements in ten groups lens construction, 0.75 feet close focusing distance and 77mm filter thread. One Nano Crystal Coat is deposited on the lens elements for fine, clear images resulting in stunning images produced in various shooting conditions.
