The M.Zuiko 12mm f/2.0 ED MSC is a premium state of the art bright wide-angle prime lens for Mirco Four Thirds mount mirrorless digital cameras.  The lens creates gorgeous expansive images with beautiful color, contrast, and definition in all sorts of lighting. 

Fast wide lenses have long been a favorite of photojournalists and landscape photographers.  They open up unique possibilities for capturing the feel of an environment more completely (even in tight spaces) and offer a way to establish a scene with full sense of scale.  With the ability to focus close with a lot in the frame to force dramatic perspective and the freedom to shoot in available light and it's really no wonder they've become a staple among the best artists.  The M.Zuiko 12mm f/2 is a great example of this capable class of lens that is uniquely compact; it's a continuation of an Olympus tradition: expertly crafting very fine optics in small superbly convenient lenses.

The M.Zuiko 12mm f/2.0 produces a broad 84° field of view.  The compact efficient optical formulation consists of 11 fully mult-coated elements in 8 groups and includes one DSA (Double Side Aspherical) element, one Aspherical element, one ED (Extra low Dispersion) element, and one Super HR (High Refractive index) element.  The f/2 maximum aperture produces wonderful out of focus areas and the 7 bladed circular aperture diaphragm helps keep focus transitions pleasant as you stop down.&nsbp; High speed near silent focusing is provided by a MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) drive.  A snap focus clutch mechanism allows near instant manual focus by wire with a purist pleasing depth of field and distance scale with hard stops.  The lens also features a weather resistant design ready for the great outdoors.

The M.Zuiko 12mm f/2.0 ED MSC is an amazing compliment to Olympus PEN series and other compact Micro Four Thirds camera bodies.  Also available in Black.
