The Sony Alpha 77 II is a 24.3 MP DSLR camera featuring Sony's top-of-the-line Translucent Mirror Technology, ideally suited for travel and capturing everyday life.

The 24.3-megapixel CMOS sensor features Sony's Translucent Mirror Technology, allowing you to shoot at up to 12fps.  Getting an ISO range of ISO 100-12,800, expandable to ISO 50-25,600, provides the ultimate low-light and high-speed performance.  The Exmor sensor helps enable continuous shooting at up to 12 frames per second.

The Sony Alpha 77 II has enhanced in-body stabilization which reduces blur by compensating for camera shake.  The built-in SteadyShot system works with every Sony (or Minolta) A Mount lens, including macro and wide-aperture standard zoom lenses.  This allows shooting in lower light without sacrificing image quality.  This model also stabilizes the viewfinder image when the shutter is depressed halfway for focus.

The advanced autofocus system maximizes use of the Translucent Mirror Technology by incorporating Phase Detection.  The system utilizes 79 phase-detection points with 15 cross sensors maximize precision for both vertical and horizontal subjects.  This autofocus system works no matter what mode you're using, even HD Movie and Live View.  The system also utilizes Object Tracking AF which locks onto a specified object and maintains focus even as the subject moves.  The Sony Alpha 77 II allows you to switch the autofocus modes between Single-shot AF (AF-S), Continuous AF (AF-C), Automatic AF (AF-A), Direct Manual Focus selectable and also features Eye-start AF, Eye AF, Predictive control, Focus lock, and AF On options.

Take advantage of LiveView with a 2.36M dot ultra-high resolution XGA OLED Tru-Finder electronic viewfinder or the 3.0" 1228k-Dot Xtra Fine LCD monitor with three-way tilt/swivel.  The screen boasts WhiteMagic technology for clear viewing, even under direct sunlight.  Use the Sunny Weather mode to boost visibility even further.  The Alpha 77 II provides you with a "what you see is what you get" preview of white balance, focus, depth of field, exposure and 100% framing accuracy, plus informative on-screen displays.
