The Sony Alpha A6500 is a high-speed, high resolution APS-C mirrorless camera designed for the Sony E-mount system.

The weather sealed magnesium alloy body was engineered to be a durable camera for use under any condition. Equipped with the 24.2 MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor, the Sony Alpha A6500 boasts superior speed with exceptionally fast autofocus at 0.05 second and the world's most phase-detection AF points. With 4D Focus, the 425-focal plane phase-detection AF points are densely positioned over the entire image, so that nearly any point on your subject can quickly and accurately be brought into focus. These points also comprise 169 contrast detection areas for increased AF reliability.

The A6500 was built with 5-Axis SteadyShot Inside Image Stabilization and touchscreen focus control. The accurate gyro-sensor gives image stabilization with the effect of a five-stops-faster shutter speed for cleaner images and movies. High-speed continuous shooting at up to 11fps (107 frame raw burst) with AF/AE ensures you won't miss your shot. In live view, enjoy 8fps continuous shooting and 14-bit raw file output.

The new Exmor CMOS sensor also reduces noise at high ISO while bringing the extended range to 51200. Working with the image sensor, the Bionz X image processing engine provide still images and movies with incredible clarity and detailed texture, with less noise, especially in the mid-to-high ISO range.

Enjoy spectacular views, smoother action, and easier tracking with the new high-contrast, high-resolution XGA OLED Tru-Finder especially when taking advantage of the 120fps frame-rate. The rear of the A6500 has a touchscreen tilting 3.0" 921.6k-dot LCD monitor.

For the ultimate in 4K video, the A6500 gives full pixel readout without pixel binning. This results in very smooth, sharp, realistic video with no compromises. Take control by employing focus with adjustable AF Drive Speed and AF Tracking Sensitivity. With 14 stops of latitude in S-Log3, shoot for more expressive movie-making in post-production.
