Tamron's 24-70mm sets a new standard in wide to medium telephoto zooms by extending the focal length range for the first time to 24mm ultra wide-angle. The use of a newly developed large diameter Hybrid Aspherical lens element has made it possible to keep distortion aberrations on the wide angle end to an absolute minimum for clear, sharp pictures. The minimum focusing distance is 40cm(15.7") at all focal lengths. This new standard zoom lens has a wide area of applications from more dramatic photography of an almost postcard-sized subject at the 70mm end.
