The weather resistant D850 is a natural choice for serious outdoor photography where landscapes shooters benefit from its top-tier tonal range, wildlife photogs appreciate it's speed & pixel density, and macro enthusiasts can leverage Focus Shift Mode to make image stacking easier.

More affordable alternatives include the Full Frame Nikon D810 and the DX format Nikon D500. Sports specialists should also consider the Nikon D6 if shooting speed is a priority over resolution.
