The AF-S 35mm f/1.8G ED lens employs uttermost definition and image quality from Nikon's high-pixel-count image sensors for amazing photos and HD videos. Exhibiting 63° viewing coverage, extral low dispersion and aspherical glass elements (11 elements in eight groups) for superior contrast and minimal distortion, Silent Wave Motor for precise, quick, and quiet autofocusing - the AF-S 35mm f/1.8G ED lens will prove to be the perfect companion for many of your photographic or HD video applications.

Nikon introduced the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 G ED AF-S 2014 (Nikon USA part# 2125) as a less expensive but outstanding alternative to the superlative Nikkor 35mm F/1.4 G AF-S (Nikon USA part# 2198) top of the line lens. The 35mm f/1.8 G ED AF-S effectively replaced the Nikon 35mm f/2 D with a higher performance lens. The Nikon 35mm f/1.8 G ED AF-S is sometimes confused with the similarly named Nikon 35mm F/1.8 G DX AF-S (Nikon USA part# 2183) but the DX model will not cover a Full frame FX format sensor.
